CREATING CONFIDENCE

YOUR PARTNER IN QUALITY CONTROL

BioQControl provides consistent validation and quality control products for infectious disease tests. For more than two decades our reference panels and run controls have been used to evaluate blood safety tests internationally.

In 1992 we took on the challenge of organising the first international proficiency study for viral NAT laboratories. The outcome of these studies demonstrated an urgent need for standardisation and quality control of these test methods. Since then we have endeavoured to make a contribution to evaluation of blood screening assays by providing reference panels and controls prepared from stable viral standards. Now, thirty years later, we have demonstrated that our manufacturing process of reference sample from deep frozen plasma standards, has provided consistent quality control products in multiple settings. Over the years we have continued to further characterise our standards, demonstrating that our calibration in nucleic acid copies are close to true virion numbers. This provides a foundation for understanding the benefit of blood screening assays in reducing viral transmission risk. With our reference standards and statistical tools for evaluation of blood screening assays we aim to provide the necessary and essential components of a post-market performance follow up system for blood screening assays. With the provision of these products and services, our company hopes to contribute to blood safety.
