VIRAQ CHECK CONTROLS FOR RESPIRATORY VIRUS NAT ASSAYS
ViraQ Check Controls for SARS-CoV-2 NAT assays have been developed from a chemically inactivated pool of swab fluid samples used for comparing the analytical sensitivity of different NAT methods and laminar flow devices for rapid antigen detection. The ViraQ SARS-CoV-2 Control of 125 copies/mL is suitable for the Roche cobas PCR and Hologic Aptima TMA assays (or other PCR methods of similar sensitivity). The ViraQ SARS-CoV-2 Control of 10,000 copies/mL has been developed for ensuring sufficient analytical sensitivity of faster NAT methods of lower sensitivity such as a LAMP assay that was used in the Netherlands.
