A unique system for consistent preparation of viral standards and reference samples

Almost thirty years of experience in manufacturing of quality control panels has proven that it is possible to consistently prepare viral standard dilutions for evaluation of NAT and serologic assays from the same liquid frozen viral stock solutions. This is achieved by quick thawing and snap freezing of homogenized standards in liquid nitrogen and by (gravimetrically recorded) large volume dilutions in plasma or serum. To our knowledge we are the only manufacturer that has demonstrated the feasibility of preparing equivalent batches of reference panels and controls from the same viral standards over more than two decades. The viral standards for preparation of run controls have been inactivated by methods of proven efficacy in the plasma and vaccine industry.
